Who We Serve
We provide counseling to families and individuals who may need mental health services but do not have access to services because they have a limited income, are underinsured or uninsured.
Our services are provided without regard to age, national origin, citizenship status, race, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression.
Our Mission
Empowered by Christ’s Love, we provide hope through excellence in counseling, life changing experiences and relationships from a Christian perspective.
Our History
The Robert P. Gerholz Center for Christian Counseling was established in the year 1983, as a ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Flint. The Center was named in honor of Robert P. Gerholz, a prominent developer, philanthropist and member of the church. The center was established in order to provide Christian counseling services for the church and community.
